Regio Zuid-Holland | Innovative Design & Portable Factory Durable Construction Solution for Transitional Needs

Durable, affordable, safe and adequate shelter and other construction infrastructure are basic and urgent needs of the affected population after natural disasters and political conflicts. The strategic goal of this project is to enable the shelter supply market to meet increasing demand for transitional shelters, and durable housing in the global market for a number of humanitarian and industrial applications. In this regard, this R&D project aims to build a complete portable construction factory, by which one could realize construction projects in areas where there is no or little infrastructure. In particular, this innovative solution could be deployed for different applications, including humanitarian projects, such as Disaster Relief and Reconstruction or remote industrial projects, such as Offshore and Oil & Gas on-site construction.
