Regio Zuid | Feasibility assessment on Defensive Measures for Software Components (Intelligent Armoring)
As our reliance on the ICT infrastructure increases, so do concerns about its security. The growing complexity of ICT systems means that bugs and vulnerabilities are harder to avoid, creating new opportunities for increasingly sophisticated attackers..The objective of this project is to examine the feasibility of innovative Algorithms and Software (A&S) that provide defensive cyber security measures for software components. Verum will investigate the feasibility of the following innovative defensive measures:.- Automatic Armor Generation.- Non-determinism as a Defensive Measure for Model-Based cyber-attacks.Part of this feasibility study is the development of a proof-of-principle of Intelligent Armouring for (Legacy) Software Components in order to demonstrate the technical working principles of these defensive measures.
