Interactive digital music system for kids (Electro Lab)
Approach..[Aanvrager/Partner] has the R&D-ambition to develop a new digital service (method and tools) to integrate the use of live electronics and digital media into practical music education for children aged 6 to 11 years. The new concept will help instrumental teachers to inspire and teach their students. ..Why? Many children start and stop learning an instrument in the age 6 to 11 years. Most quit within 1 year because they do not practice and are frustrated and impatient at the lack of progress. Would it not be great if we could begin their instrumental lessons using methods which speak directly with their everyday lives such as using technology in combination with smart phones, tablets, game controllers and computers? Learning through games, see clear progress and most of all have fun – current methods are boring!..Electro Lab is a new supplementary teaching method using Live Electronics as a way to teach instrumental music lessons aimed for ages 6-11. With this new to the market digital product, the company wants to stimulate the musical curiosity and creative imagination of children and at the same time offer music teachers the tools to introduce music technology from an early stage in their lessons...The feasibility project explores this novel way of digital interaction and teaching.
