Amref Flying Doctors Leap (AFDL)
Feasibility study. COVID-19 demands alternative approaches to health worker training and education. Frontline health workers play a pivotal role in reducing the impact of COVID-19 when properly trained.
The traditional face-to-face learning methods are insufficiently scalable when there are social distancing measures in place. Amref can address this challenge by deploying our mobile learning solution Leap, aimed at equipping community health workers with essential skills, and has been operational in Kenya for over five years, training over 54.000 community health workers across the nation.
This project aims to understand the feasibility of scaling up Leap to Uganda and Ethiopia via a social enterprise model.
