COVID-19 telehealth solution for front-line health workers in the community

Feasibility study. Uganda has a challenged healthcare system that struggles to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak. There is minimal support available for health workers.

Remote triage has proven an effective approach to minimize contamination, support health workers and maximize the efficacy of health personnel. A telehealth solution can support community health workers with a toll-free line, remote capacity building, and tailor-made contextualized communication materials. The remote support improves a safe work-environment, traces COVID-19 cases and sustains ICCM treatment. The solution needs to be adopted, developed and tested for the Ugandan context and regulations.
